works like a charm! October 28, 2002 Anthony S. Zorn (San Salvador, El Salvador) 36 out of 39 found this review helpful
These work exactly as decribed. Just twist the stripped ends of your speaker wire, push through the connector, screw down the banana portion of the connector, et viola! nice gold plated banana connectors! no strain relief so tugging on the end result is not recommended but these are MUCH better than leaving the twisted bare copper ends to oxidize on your speaker posts.
Superb connectors for amplifier speaker connections January 19, 2007 David B. Spalding (Chromejob-dot-com) 14 out of 14 found this review helpful
These connectors are a SUPERB solution. The wire (whether thin gauge "zip wire" or thick Monster Cable wire) is splayed out in this connector and locked in securely via a screw in fastener. The banana tip then feeds into the amp's banana socket with a minimum of fuss and ensures a low-impedance connection. The plugs themselves are very rugged and make a solid, reliable contact. You shouldn't ever have to mess with them again.
If you have a 6.1 system, you need three packs of these for the amp-side connection. Placed on high quality speaker wire, these connectors are a permanent solution. But don't worry, if you upgrade your speaker wire later, these connectors come off in a jiffy. Worth the price!
Great connectors March 28, 2006 James Bailey (Houston, Texas) 14 out of 15 found this review helpful
People need to take the debate to the forums.
These connectors work as advertised. Can I hear a difference? I don't know but I can see a difference in the back of my receiver and the connections are tight.
The best I've used July 24, 2007 AreYouKidding? 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I've gone through several different types of bananna connectors for my home theater installs. I even tried the Dayton and Monoprice budget recommendations from several audio buffs on AVSForums. While they worked "as expected" they weren't as tight and easy to use as these Monster Quicklocks.
Pros
- One you tighten them up, they aren't coming loose.
- You get a very clean look.
- Super-easy to install.
Cons
- High price
I added some photos to the customer gallery. Enjoy.
The best way to connect your speakers July 19, 2006 M. Mann 10 out of 12 found this review helpful
Any good connection will work, hear the difference?? give me a break.
It comes down to ease of installing the connector to the wire, and the low profile of these banana plugs compared to all others.
These have a brilliant design, and considering they are from the official company of overpriced hype (Monster Cable), they are pretty darn inexpensive. I am in no way a Monster fan, but these are worth every penny.
