| Customer Reviews: It's a Magic Box . . . HP TouchSmart 600-1150 All-in-One PC July 29, 2010 jiminyClickit 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
In a short while, this might become a Video Review, using the various apps on this wonder-filled machine. There are too many joys to describe included in the software, so suffice it to say I am stunned, excited, and pleased beyond description with what I've already found using the touch screen and setting up all the photo and video capabilities. And radio, TV tuner, downloaded music, wonderful sound quality, ease of using Windows 7, wireless convenience, speed of functions, amazing memory capacity, and on and on.
This is all compared to where I was, with a 6-year-old HP Pavilion with Windows XP and dialup, then moving up to the "magic box" and broadband, so my experience has been all positive. TouchScreen is intuitive for me, and I'm seeing photographs in such detail, I may have to go to a more professional camera to match the quality.
Amazon saved me money and delivered sooner than expected, as often is the case. Unless or until something doesn't work right or stops working, this is the closest thing to a perfect communication device I've had. Updates will follow . . .
What A Great Machine! July 29, 2010 da2 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Dumb Ass 1 (da1) wrote a really critical review, and judging from his poor grammar he really must not be the sharpest knife. Anyway, I just received my HP 600 yesterday and we are already in love with it. The 23" screen is bright, brilliant and easy to read, and the touch screen feature is absolutely a joy to use. It is user friendly, wireless, and much faster than my piece of junk Dell. There are just too many neat features to list them all, but be advised that this is a quality computer that both novice and advanced user will quickly learn and enjoy. da2
DO NOT BUY IT. July 25, 2010 Sa Ka 0 out of 12 found this review helpful
the touch screen doesn't work. i already throw away the box. Beach Camera will not take it back without the "original box". so now i have to send it to HP for repair. When you buy HP, buy it from HP directly. now my pc is not new any more. i could have bough the same thing refurbished for 300 bucks less. lesson learned...
Will NOT HONOR WARRANTY!!! July 30, 2010 BJ Lee (USA) 1 out of 17 found this review helpful
Even though my Touchsmart worked OK out of the box, You will get a message that your hard drive will CRASH---- Just after your one year warranty expires so you have to replace it. It will cost you almost $500 and lots of headache with the smart mouth customer service people who are so rude it amazes me they even keep their jobs. They want you to send in your HARD DRIVE FOR REPAIR. YEAH RIGHT!!! To India I suppose? I told them it started to fail within the warranty period but some tech from India told me to not worry about it and ignore the message. NOW HP WILL NOT HONOR THEIR WARRANTY. GET A DIFFERENT COMPUTER FROM A DIFFERNT COMPANY. WHAT A JOKE. I've had computers last many years, then I buy this piece of crap and it crashes in just over a year so that I have to buy a whole NEW HARD DRIVE! Do not buy ANY HP product. You will be disappointed. I read online that they infect your hard drive with a virus so you have to spend money to buy a new one. Like a Doctor infecting you with the flu so that you have to go pay him for his services. SCAM! I will probably NEVER own a computer again after this because if this is what the world is coming to I don't want any part of this SCAM! This is planned failure at its highest art and a huge ripoff. Go elsewhere. I know enough about computers and have been around them all my life so this really reeks of THEFT, plus these rude people at HP ignore your complaint and pretend to know nothing about the virus THEY most likely PUT IN YOUR COMPUTER so you'd have to pay them money to replace it! I also read about a guy who also had this happen to him, so it is happening to others, too, and he replaced the hard drive himself and a WEEK LATER he got the same message that his hard drive was going to CRASH! Your love for this machine will soon turn to HATE and you will REGRET IT! Take it from an expert! I even read somewhere that they work with the FBI to get you to send them your hard drive so that they can compile a PROFILE of you for their government Supercomputer. STAY AWAY FROM HP and don't say I didn't warn you!
