The following product, isn't intended, but maybe mis-leading into making you believe that you can connect your laptop into a television. But there was software issues. I can not explain that portion. But when I bought this item I intended on using it to use xbox 360 or nintendo wii running it to the monitor thus the "RCA TO VGA" hookup. There are and is cords for connecting laptops or computers to televisions. Such cords are S-VIDEO or HDMI. Anyways, off topic, this product worked great when I used it for what I bought it for! Great buy!!!

this product and seller were a mess, just kidding. From the shipping to the quality only one word comes to mind,perfect. The cord allowed me to use my pc on my tv. i could watch movies, play games, browse the internet and more all while have show on my tv. This was a good buy and i would recommend to anyone.

Ok first of all this product is only to hook something up to a computer monitor. If you think you can use this to hook up your computer to your tv your wrong and you need to look at the converters. It works wonders for what it was designed to do and I use it every time I play my xbox. Honestly nothing is better then having monitors hooked up instead of buying a second or third tv to play video games while someone is watching tv.

I can't believe people bought this, thinking they could use their PC/Laptop and watch things via their computer.
This is very cut and dry, this is designed to be able to plug your RCA plugs and or "S" video directly to the input of your monitor or TV that has a VGA input. Nothing more. Common sense should dictate this. Alas, there is NOT one thing wrong with this product. It is the buyers that have the problem, as they have no idea what this item is intended for. No offense to the buyers that know what they are doing.

Also, the red and white RCA inputs are for sound. Most monitors do not have speakers. So, how could this work if you plug it into a monitor that DOES NOT have speakers or sound? Duh!! Do some resaerch before you buy something. Don't go by the picture alone!!
